“Nice stay”

Reviewed 24 November 2015 (CJO193, Te Puke)

Nice motel, clean tidy, had everything we needed :) good selection of tv channels to watch, big rooms, studio had a double and a single bed in... Kitchenette with everything you need when on an overnight stay... we will definitely be back when we are next in Gisborne.

“Your kind service is absolutely beyond our expectation, many thanks to hosts Mick and Cath”

Reviewed 19 November 2015 (george w, Auckland)

A group of friends flied to Gisborne to attend a friend's daughter's wedding last weekend. It was the 1st time for all of us to visit there. Like most travellers, it had been a little bit nervous for us to visit a new place until we were warmly greeted by the host Mick who offered us a compliment picking up at airport. More than this, after we settled down at our very clean and comfortable unit at Alfresco, Mick voluntarily offered us a free guided tour to some most beautiful sceneries in Gisborne. He was so kind, knowledgeable, full of humour and patient that we do doubt we could find a better paid tour service than him in Gisborne. The next day, he offered us free ride to museum and some vineyard again and finally to take us to airport back to Auckland. All of us have had extensive travelling both in New Zealand and overseas, but we all agreed that this time in Gisborne we felt most spoiled by Mick's most sincere service! We will certainly go back to stay at Alfresco next time when visiting Gisborne again!

“Very helpful owners”

Reviewed 14 October 2015 (Clive B, Sydney, Australia)

The room was very clean and comfortable with a well appointed kitchenette. The spa bath relaxing at the end of a day's drive and the bed comfortable. The rooms quiet. The owners extremely helpful with places to visit for the rest of our trip around NZ

“Stop. Go no further. You won't find anything better.”

Reviewed 16 March 2015 (Pauline R, Adelaide)

We arrived to a warm welcome from the manager who escorted us to our room where he explained certain aspects to us. Our room is the largest of all our travels in NZ. Spacious, extremely clean, bathroom fantastic and a very well equipped kitchen. Good cooking facilities. Four chairs instead of the usual two. Because we arrived during a severe weather alert the manager provided us with information to keep us informed about our next departure. We did get a chance to do some sight seeing before the rain sent us inside. I tried very hard to fault this establishment but so far nothing. it is a little way from the CBD but just a short drive on the same road and in 5 minutes you are there.
